Things I Ordered in a Sleep-Deprived Haze (No Regrets)

There’s a particular kind of shopping that happens at 3AM, usually after the fourth wake-up of the night and your brain feels like a piece of toast that got left in the toaster too long. You open your phone and then suddenly… Amazon is confirming your order. Again.

This is my tribute to the delirious, exhausted version of me who clicked buy now without hesitation and, surprisingly, actually made some good calls. These weren’t impulse buys. These were survival tools. Emotional support purchases. Little gifts to my future self.

Here are the things I ordered in a sleep-deprived haze—and truly, I have no regrets.

Just a heads up, there are affiliate links in this post, which means I might earn a commission if you buy something through them!

A Sunrise Alarm Clock

Because apparently I thought a fake sun would solve all my problems. But you know what? It actually helped. It’s not a miracle cure, but waking up to a soft glow instead of a blaring alarm makes me feel 5% more human. And I’ll take that.

A Giant Water Tumbler With a Straw and Handle

I needed hydration, but make it main character energy. This tumbler is basically glued to my hand now.

A Silicone Scalp Massager

Because if I wasn’t going to get a full night’s sleep, I was at least going to pretend I lived at a spa. Ten out of ten for the two minutes of peace it gives me in the shower.

A Toddler-Sized Cleaning Set

Listen. It was 2AM and I was desperate. But now my kids happily “clean” while I actually get things done. Past-me was a genius!

Noise-Canceling Earbuds

Were they a splurge? Yes. Did I cry a little when they arrived and I realized I could drink my coffee in blissful silence for two whole minutes while the kids watched Bluey? Also yes.

I used to feel guilty about these purchases. Like I was trying to shop my way out of the chaos. But now I see them for what they were: little acts of kindness from me to me. Proof that even in the middle of the night, when I was running on fumes, I still knew what I needed.

Sleep-deprived me might not have been making five-course dinners or checking things off a to-do list. But she knew how to survive. And sometimes, survival comes with two-day shipping.
